TVS pleasantly surprised us with the unexpected launch of their latest addition to the RTR series, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Fi, and it’s safe to say that this new entrant packs a punch in terms of innovation and features.
TVS Auto Bangladesh unveiled this remarkable motorcycle at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), catching most of us off guard with the secrecy surrounding its launch. Fortunately, we managed to uncover the hidden gem and are excited to share the details.
The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Fi comes equipped with a range of cutting-edge technologies, features, and captivating color graphics that are set to revolutionize the 160cc naked sports segment.
A grand launch event was orchestrated to introduce this impressive addition to the TVS family. Notable officials from TVS graced the occasion, alongside an assembly of avid bikers, influencers, and dedicated dealers. Team BikeBD also had the privilege of attending this exciting event.
In terms of features, this motorcycle is poised to outclass its competitors. TVS has integrated the latest technologies, including a noteworthy three riding modes. Additionally, they have fine-tuned the engine for optimal performance.
Under the hood, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Fi boasts a robust 159.7cc, 4-valve, over square, oil-cooled combustion chamber (O3C) engine, complemented by fuel injection (Fi) technology. This powerplant delivers a robust 17.5 PS @ 9250 rpm and 17.73 Nm of torque, all enhanced by Race Tuned Fuel Injection (RT-Fi).
The result? Smoother and faster acceleration, with an expected mileage ranging between 40 to 42 kmpl. TVS has also fitted the bike with a distinctive bullpup exhaust and eye-catching red alloy wheels.
On the braking front, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Fi impresses with its 270mm roto petal disc brakes in the front, equipped with single-channel ABS. The rear features a 200mm disc brake, along with a SHOWA gas-charged mono-shock offering 7-step adjustability.
But perhaps the most notable feature is the introduction of the fuel injection (Fi) engine, a long-awaited addition that promises a smoother and hassle-free ride through city traffic, eliminating the need for constant throttle adjustments.
Now, the burning question: what’s the price tag on this thrilling new version? While initial estimates pointed to a range of 2,50,000 to 2,70,000 BDT, the actual price is an enticing 2,69,990 BDT.
Initially, this model will be available at TVS Motorcycle showrooms in Dhaka and Chittagong, with plans for wider distribution across Bangladesh in the near future.
